Nice article I gave it an up vote.

Thanks, I know it seems very ambitious but it's not really that far-fetched don't you think? Reddit made AMAs, all major companies and celebrities are on Facebook and Twitter. If Steemit keeps getting traction is only a matter of time when these type of prominent players enter the scene. The catch is that here they will be major shares holder if they want to have some leverage...

Yeah the question is if they will create their own system or use steem?

No, not Steem or Ethereum or anything like that. All major companies will adopt a standard blockchain (IBM Hyperledger maybe? there's room for 2 or 3 different ones) and use private tokens. They won't adopt something they can't control.

However with Steemit (IF it becomes successful enough just like with Youtube, Twitter or whatever) they will have to establish a presence sooner or later and that's what I was trying to get across. If that was the case, Nike, Apple or Adidas as I playfully did with the logo will be HUGE whales the size of continents inside Steemit platform.

Major corporations would do well to have a mix of blockchains, Steem could just be one of the external currencies. Internally, I see companies adopting private chains or leveraging industry specific solutions as @moonjelly mentions Hyperledger or Ripple in the financial industry. These are exciting times with major disruptions coming to all sectors.
