Why is Potential payout Rate Decreasing?

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

Yesterday I wrote a blog post about a Pre-school in our area and asked for upvotes so that I can help the school with the money it earns. I really intended to help the school as it is my son's pre-school. The post got around $123 potential payout yesterday however when upvotes increased the potential payout rate dropped significantly. I didn't see such change in other posts. So can some of you explain what happened with decreased money?

P.S. If I can withdraw that $119.51 (current balance) I'll be able to provide them an extra swing. If I loose some while exchanging I'll not be able to. I haven't withdraw any crypto currencies yet so, I am not sure about exchange rates, etc. If you are interested in reading that post,

This is also my concern, @mnkassier.

My recent post got only four(4) upvotes but the "potential payout" keeps on going down. This is the first time I encountered this as my very first post when I started joining this platform did not have any changes in its "potential payout" which was accumulated during its first 3 days despite of not gaining upvotes on the following days.

It saddens me that there are few people who have seen your post already but did not leave any comments. 😢

Still hoping that someone would enlighten us. Especially on your part as you are doing this for your son's preschool.
