Welcoming The SneakPeek Bot
I've been a fan of communities like Reddit, 4chan, and since a few months Steemit. I'm a programmer, so I always try to help out the community in the best way possible. I'm here today presenting the SneakPeek Bot for Steemit, which is inspired by SneakPeek Bot from Reddit.

I'm trying to help this community grow and bots are one way to help automate certain processes.
What does SneakPeek Bot do?
Whenever a user mentions any category (topic) using #, The SneakPeek Bot will find that category (topic) and bring out 3 of the trending posts in that category (topic).
For example, if I mentioned #photography in the comments, The SneakPeek Bot will find 3 of the trending posts from #photography and post a comment.

Why SneakPeek Bot?
I believe that there are many awesome categories (topics) on Steemit, but they remain hidden beneath the top most used categories (topics). Using SneakPeek Bot, trending posts in those categories will come out. They'll get the necessary exposure in the community.
Many of the users aren't aware about certain categories (topics), and sometimes they create their own, but we often use # to mention something in the comments or the posts. It is possible that there is a category with that same # handle, and SneakPeek Bot will help those categories receive more attention. I hope this bot helps this community in a way it should.
The bot will start working in half an hour.!

Hello @nolasco, Sneakpeek bot's working mechanism has been updated. Have a look at below post.

Now you can add a handle in front of category mention, and bot will be summoned. This change has been done to improve the working manner of this bot. I hope you'll understand and spread the word.
Got it! But what does add a handle mean? I'm portuguese and my english sometimes is not enough.
I'm sorry. Let me explain. When you want the sneakpeek bot to work, just mention sneakpeek in front of the tag. Like below, and it will work.

Yes I saw that, but SneakPeek won't read it from post. It will work for comments on that posts. Comment the same thing on that post and you'll see the results.
No no, only in the comments. Bot works with comments only right now. Just like I've commented. See far below in the post comments, you'll see the sneakpeek bot's comment below mine..

STOPIs there a way if I choose to write a hash tag in my comment and prefer not to call this bot there? What do I need to do for that?

But why blacklist. What if I want to call it in my very next comment? I'd again make a request to you to whitelist me? Very unfriendly process!
I wouldn't call it unfriendly, but rather in testing phase. I can make a special tag to call this bot, but then it won't reach to all the users, just like this post. But I'd consider your input and try to improve on it. Thanks ^^
If you don't want to make a special tag to call this bot, can't you make a special tag to uncall (to not to call) this bot?
That's one and the same thing if you re-read it. Also, it's better to make a tag for process initiation instead a tag for process de-initiation.
The bot works on category tags mentioned by users in the comments. By what you're suggesting, users have to add that special tag to make sure it doesn't call the bot. Doesn't this process sound tedious to you?
Instead, a special tag, which user can mention so that it can call the bot.

Perhaps you didn't get me.
If it gets initiated by category tags, it's super easy to use for the user whenever it's required. But then what's the solution when one don't want to initiate it yet he/she wants to use category tag in his comment? Shouldn't a special tag to not to activate the bot is required there?
Well, whatever you think is good, you just go ahead with it. I was just giving my piece of mind. You know your bot and its audience better. I ain't into coding.

I absolutely understand your point. Thank you so much for your inputs. The way things are doing, this bot will probably be taken down by next weekend. Community isn't that supportive afterall. Anyways, better luck next time for me.. ^^
