How To Go Viral With Your Story !

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

Having a piece of content go viral is every marketer's dream. The thought of having
thousands or even millions of people viewing your content is amazing , and it can take your brand to the heights.
That's what Dollar Shave Club discovered when it released it's quirty commercial
that went viral on YouTube. That one video put the company in front of millions of potential customers
who never heard of it before. The examples of viral marketing campaigns are endless.
But the question is : Why Do Some Pieces Of Content Go Viral While Others Don't ?

1.Know Your Audience :

When most companies think of viral marketing, they immediately think of having it viewed by
everyone possible.

  1. Make An Emotional Connection :

Emotion is what compels people to take action.

  1. People Share Useful Content:

It seems obvious, but it gets overlooked all the time . Creating highly relevant and useful
content is an easy way to increase the chances of going viral. If you create a piece of
content that's actionable and practical use, you'll be far ahead of the game .

4.Great Timing Help :

In order to time your content to go viral , you have to be up to date on all of the latest events.
Whether it's pop culture, world news or sports, being active on social media and seeing
what's popular at the moment will give you the fuel you need to craft your next
piece of viral content.

5.Get Visual :

The study found that posts with one or more images get more than twice as many
shares on Steemit, Facebook & Twitter than those without any images in them .

  1. Get Your Content In Front Of Influencers :

You've probably heard the word influencer a lot when it comes to marketing .
Influencers are people who have a large active following in their industry.
A lot of people take the first approach.
But if you want to increase the likelihood of getting influencers to discover your content,
then you have to take a more proactive approach.

Easier said than done. Good advise though. I think timing and conecting to your audience has the most to do with it. Sometimes the sillest things go viral. But expecting something silly to go viral at a time where the nation is grieving over a terrorist attack (for example), is virtually impossible. (Pun intended).

Really nice article. It will really help users to get their content popular. :)
