I deleted Facebook!

Hello! I'm Mila and I'm officially Facebook free.

Well, technically havent deleted it, its temporary deactivated.

Reasons?

boring content
privacy issues
procrastination
annoying Messenger app
even if I see actual Facebook users posting stuff (not fanpages with budget big enough to pay to be more visible) it's mainly depressing politics or environment related content which brings nothing but unnecessary anxiety.

But most importantly...
... more time for Steemit!

Always had mixed feelings about FB anyway...

I'm really excited to see how this platform develops and have high hopes for it. Already joined one community called #steemartists (that including Discord chat) and loving it.

Long live the Steemit King! ;)

I'm about to do the same, FB stinks next to Steemit xD I feel lucky to be your friend of steemit, and not of FB, poor people xD

This is great news!
I mean Facebook is fantastic sometimes for artists and independent business owners, or just self employed... for advertisement purposes however most of it is utter crap.

There's too much hostility on there and it's only getting worse! This social media culture is rubbish; people should be doing things that matter, posting on Facebook is not a way to spend your time. It's complete procrastination.

I have a fb account.. But after member of steemit i don't waste my time on fb.. STEEMIT is best then Facebook. @milenamilk

It is indeed better! Although it is still more a blogging platform than social network. I'm wondering how it's gonna evolve and if we ever gonna have a blockchain based equivalent of Facebook

Hi dear Mila, I can relate to you so much. Yesterday was my first visit in 10 days. My reasons were the same. What I also realized was that many people find it super easy to bug you with massages for any stupid thing on facebook. If they would have to call or text, they would probably not get in touch on that topic. What was the reason for me to stay there, but use it just very seldome are still the contacts. I had 3 messages for potential work. I think it is all in the amount. As long one ist not more than 10 min a day there, it is all great.

I agree with you 100%, especially with the part about people messaging you with no reason.
I know I find procrastinating on fb hard to control thus I decided to cut myself off completely. So far don't miss it at all...
