Buddy Hackett! He was a likeable foul mouthed comedian who pushed the boundaries at a time before political correctness existed. Buddy told the most off color rude and obscene jokes known to mankind! Not a lot of people could get away with the material Buddy did, but he succeeded because he was self effacing, his jokes didn't spring from hubris, but out of pure human failability, and that is why people not only tolerated him, but adored him!
That is the phenomena I see happening here on steemit, people are upvoting for humans! What is impacting is content that acknowledges our human nature; we are imperfect and fail!
