IS STEEMIT STILL WORTH JOINING? (is this still a thing?)

Well, here I am. Coming back to Steemit after 4 years of absence. We can call it boredom or curiosity, but the truth is that I might have some ideas in mind to be exploited in the next upcoming months.

Planning to return to my 'writing times' was very spontaneous. There was no effort behind it more than just wondering about my old keys to access the site. But I also thought about the current value of the Steem Dollar. And after a quick research, the answers I found were quiet underwhelming.

Then I started digging more into it and, to be honest, there is not enough information to be found about Steemit in 2024.
Most of the well positioned reviews and stories on search engines out there are from 2 to 4 years ago. So, I am wondering, is Steemit still a thing? Is there valuable work that can be done in here?

Until that moment I had not planned to post, I just wanted to take a look.

Of course, first, I had to be sure that I had all my passwords and keys in order. And after 30 mins of dealing with security system, I could log in successfully.
It took me a min to realize I had left some creative stuff that could mean something in the future. At least to me. And thats when the thought came to my mind, "I need to get answers".

So, out of everyone's experience (at least the ones reading at the moment) do you feel one can still succeed in this platform? And this is coming from someone that fell in love with the idea of this community years ago. And also, someone that wants to contribute with valuable content for the future.

I guess I'll just wait for an answer, but you still might see some of my content in the meantime.
