RE: Have you heard of Steem-Bounty?

in #steemit6 years ago

I have heard of and received Steem bounties before, but have never taken the time to look under the hood. Thanks for the check mark off my list of things to do on Steemit.

I am still a little confused though as to why and when I should put a bounty on my post? I don’t understand how this would help a plankton or minnow “rank up”? It seems their wallets would be emptier since they purchased a bounty. The only way this would make positive financial sense is if the bounty attracted dolphins to upvote the post totaling more than the bounty purchased. Please fill in my missing gap.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. Since there is a higher incentive for others to vote on your post and comment to receive a bounty, more people will compete for the bounty making it kind of a bait in the water and watch the people swarm! Atleast that's what I'm thinking! Hahaha

If a minnow has 1 steem to spare on a post he took 2 hours to write, therea nothing wrong with taking out a bounty on the post and seeing what happens!
