'Digital Bangladesh' means digitalizing Bangladesh by ensuring(নিশ্চিত) an ICT based society(সমাজ) where information will be available(সহজলভ্য) on the line and where all possible activities of the government and other non-government or semi-government organizations will be performed(সম্পাদিত) using digital technology. Making a Digital Bangladesh was an election manifesto(ইশতেহার) (2008) of Awami League, one of the leading political parties in Bangladesh. In the 9th National Parliamentary election, Awami League declared(ঘোষিত) to develop Bangladesh into a digital country by the next decade(দশক). Bangladesh is an independent(স্বাধীন)country. She achieved(অর্জন করেছিলো)her freedom(স্বাধীনতা)more than 39 years ago. But still, she is burdened(বোঝাই করা)with many problems like poverty(দারিদ্রতা), overpopulation, unemployment(বেকারত্ব), corruption, food deficit(স্বল্পতা), natural calamities(প্রাকৃতিক দুর্যোগ), power crisis(সংকট)etc. Considering all these, the present government has aimed at making a Digital Bangladesh overcome(বিজয়) these problems. The motto(সংক্ষিপ্ত নীতিবাক্য)of Digital Bangladesh is to establish(প্রতিষ্ঠা) technology(প্রযুক্তি)based digital governance, e-commerce, e-agriculture, e-production, e-education, etc. emphasizing the overall(সার্বিক)development of the country and the nation. The benefits(উপকার)of Digital Bangladesh is many. If we can establish(প্রতিষ্ঠা)a Digital Bangladesh, corruption(দুর্নীতি)will drastically(বহুলাংশে)reduced. Besides(অন্যদিকে), it will save people's time and money and will make people more enterprising(উদ্যমী) and thus(এইভাবে) will reduce the unemployment problem. It will connect people with the whole world economically, politically, socially, academically(শিক্ষাগত) and even culturally(সাংস্কৃতিকভাবে). It will open doors for the people to improve(উন্নতি)their conditions. It will also improve banking and financial(অর্থনৈতিক) activities. Money transfer and transaction of business could be made within seconds by clicking the mouse of a computer. Agriculture, health, education, commerce; all these sectors will be highly benefited by making Bangladesh a Digital one.

          INTERNET

The Internet is the latest medium(মাধ্যম)of communication. This is a speedy transmitting(Transmit-প্রেরণ করা)system of information with the help of computer and computer networks. The Internet is now regarded(গণ্য) as a milestone of the modern world of communication. It is in fact(In fact- আসলে), a network of communication. In Bangladesh, the Internet has opened a new dimension(মাত্রা) in our communication system. Both BTTB our government has taken active initiatives(উদ্যোগ) for its better implementation(বাস্তবায়ন) in our country. The use of Internet in our country is still limited(সীমাবদ্ধ) and costly(ব্যায়বহুল). The modern age is the age of information. Information is stored and we fine them through Internet. Now the world of commerce has been changed by it. Internet based e-commerce has become most popular(জনপ্রিয়) to many customers as they can buy or choose anything without going to a market. Educational institutions are also taking its advantages(সুবিধা). Many students are communicating with their teachers, libraries and among themselves with the help of Internet in the shortest(অধিকতর অল্প)possible time. Those days are not so far when students will have access to Internet and take its maximum(সর্বোচ্চ)benefits.

Our Country
The name of our country is Bangladesh. It is a small country in South Asia. Its land area is about 1,47,610 sq. kilometers. But its population is about 160 million. I. E. 16 crore. The Muslims, the Hindus, the Christians, and the Buddhists live here. It is an agricultural country. The main crops of this country are jute, tea, rice, sugar cane etc. It is also a country of rivers. The Padma, the Meghna, the Jamuna, and the Karnaphuli are its main rivers. Chittagong and Mongla are two sea posts. There are two historical places in Dhaka is Mainamoti and Mahasthangar. Dhaka is the capital of Bangladesh. Bangladesh is a democratic country. It is also a member of the U. N. O and the Commonwealth.
