Toxoplasmosis a life-long infection

To lovers of cats, dogs or other animals whose love should not be blinded to preventive measures in what corresponds to cleaning and health care to avoid infections caused. Toxoplasmosis is an infection caused by a tiny parasite (Toxoplasma gondii)

Also lovers of meat, fruit or other types of street food there are also infected.

Although this infection is not normally transmitted from one person to another, excluding cases of maternal-fetal transmission, in rare cases, toxoplasmosis can contaminate blood transfusions and donated organs to make transplants.

Although parasites of toxoplasmosis can grow and multiply within a week of entering a person's body, the symptoms of the infection may take weeks or months to appear (if they occur).

Once a person contracts a toxoplasmosis infection, the infection remains in their body for life, usually in a latent (or inactive) way and without causing injury or side effects. But the infection can be reactivated if the person suffers from immunosuppression due to HIV infection or cancer treatment.

So if we want to love our precious animals we must also love ourselves
