🔴 Now Live: The No Man's Sky, Steem Stream - Claim your Star System, Planet, Flora or Fauna Name Now!
A few moments ago the PC version of No Man's Sky was released unfortunately a few days after the PS4 release. No Man's Sky (WiKi).
The game includes over 18 quintillion (1.8×1019) planets, many with their own sets of flora and fauna. By exploring, players gain information about the planets that they can submit to the Atlas, a universal database that can be shared with other players of the game.
What this basically means is that you can claim Planets, flora and fauna when you are the first one to explore them. After exploring you can name them however you want. If you then upload it to the universal database (Atlas) all other players of the game that come after you will see and know the planet by the name you claimed for it.

Currently the live stream is down. Due to a automatic update in steam No Man's Sky is not working any more. Back when the game is working again.
Edit, the game is working again. But badly enough I lost 3 h of progress. Will start again with streaming now form the beginning. Hope It will not happen again...

Good luck with that game. It was ambitious as hell. Not a clue why it's multi player if your odds are less than 1% of ever seeing any other player let alone someone on your friends list. hahaha
The lead Dev's interviews were awesome leading up to the launch of the game. I would totally buy that man a beer or 50. Who the hell decides to have procedural generated music?
