I was amazed how you addressed almost ALL of the concerns
I had while researching Steemit this week.
and came up with pretty much the same solutions... :)
Solution is , going back to basics , strength the foundation
Produce quality content and connect with like minded individuals.
* ReKindle the Passion *
- Ask ourselves "Why did I start this in the 1st PLACE? *
- Passion is what you do because you WANT to , NOT HAVE to *
In my opinion , we sacrifice too much in the name of convenience.
Meaning, Sure , its easy to just "Delegate" our voting rights to a Third Party ,
in hopes of making a little more.... what?
!!! an imaginary number ofcourse !!!
(that IS what CryptoCurrency really is)
But this CryptoCurrency only has Value ,
BE CAUSE someONE PUT VALUE in to MAKING (aka "Minting") it.
TWO (2) Extreme Attitudes
(1) Seek To Most Benefit , Whilst Putting in Least Effort ("Leaches")
(2) Has a Vision & Mission and Produce with Passion ; knowing Exactly what they will Gain

There is no doubt that when Steemit first started, EVERYONE was very passionate and there was a collective desire to ensure the platform and blockchain tenderly cared for.
This has now morphed as the financial incentive have grown exponentially, so have the way to leverage every aspect in the ingenious and mostly selfish of ways.
There are still plenty of Steemians that post simply because they have a passion to express themselves or ideas; however, their work is harder and harder to find among the heavily promoted trash.
This is where we are ... tomorrow will be worse if we do not makes changes today.
This downtrend in the price of Steem is a new opportunity for so many people as well many new concepts.
You're here at a good time, with the right attitude. Be persistent with abundant patience and this opportunity will be your next big win.
