Why is APR constantly at 0%? Why are we allowing witnesses to vote for 0% - I think this needs to be addressed
Quite frankly I think the title says it all...
As I understand it, we vote for witnesses, so why are we voting for witnesses who obviously have colluded with one another to ensure the interest rate is 0%. I apologize if my cynical nature offends anyone but I am sure there must be some benefit for them in doing so.... I don't claim to be an expert on the subject so please feel free to educate me along with many users who I am sure feel similarly.
Once Steem Dollar is worth $1, the witnesses will agree on an interest over 0%. If Steem Dollar goes below $1, it will get lots of interest.
Steem Dollars price is above the target of 1$. Giving interest will encourage people to save SBD, making the price go up even more.
