Gamechanger: Steemit/Steem Needs A Direct Exchange. By Gregory Mannarino
If Steemit would simply create an exchange where Steem could be directly traded for Bitcoin, and subsequently into US Dollars or other major currency, the Steemit social network and Steem itself would skyrocket overnight.
I honestly wonder why, unless a system like this is already in the works, Steemit has not already done this?
Do any of you who may be reading this have any information on a possible direct, Steemit backed exchange?
In my opinion a direct Steemit backed exchange like the one I describe above would be a real gamechanger for Steemit.

Greg -- take a look at @jerrybanfield and the p2p exchange project hes funding alongside @jo3potato.
This definitely needs to happen on a larger scale, and as we can see from the hack rumors of Binance today, in addition to the SEC regulation nonsense, a p2p exchange is the inevitable trajectory.
Bitshares is good, but it simply doesn't have enough liquidity. Plus, its still not possible to convert to/from fiat in that system. Thats the key weakness in crypto right now. There's only a few (not an accident) entrances and exits for fiat.
Another issue is actually how a lot of whales are voting their own circles. There is not way for newbies like us to get anything by posting or curating. It has turned into buying votes from bots in order to survive.
Competition from FB also coming and the whales here don't understand how it's up to them to stop abusing the system in order for the whole platform to survive.
you're not going to be able to control what other people do with their vested voting power.
all you can do is keep grinding and look for opportunities. just like normal life.
That would be great. You could change this. We here at the bottom have a rough time just hanging around. Would have like to buy some today for sure.

You can easly exchange your Steem dollars or Steem on blocktrades. There are multiple blogs regarding how to do that. It’s very simple. You can easly make a transfer from steemit through blocktrades to coinbase and then to fiat.

yes i agree with you and really a great idea about a steemit excahnge and sure steemit need a direct exchange and i hope the steemit growth will be more exllent with this exchange but how this will be work is it pure steemit platfarm or from any third party greg?
