Programmable Logic Controller
The PLC is an electronic equipment, based on microprocessors, capable of controlling the production in real time or the execution of all kinds of processes by controlling input and output signals. The command program processes this information together with the current data of the counters and timers. It uses programmable memory to store instructions and execute functions such as: logical and arithmetic operations, sequences, timing and control counters, sequences of machines or processes. Among its most important features are: non-volatile memories, modular input / output capacity, self-diagnosis in case of failure, logic format in ladder diagrams, modular maintenance, ability to generate reports, simple programming, computer interfaces, management of matrices and data manipulation. A programmable automaton proper is constituted by:
• A feeding device
• One input / output unit (I / O)
• Processing Card
• Memory card programming console
• Communication Module
