Best path to Steemit - how did you get here?

I was thinking how strange it was that I actually ended up here writing this story on Steemit. I have traced back my path but wondered if you have had a more interesting journey!!
Here's mine:-
Heard an incredibly funny joke a few years ago on TV by a chap called Simon Evans.
Overheard his name again a few weeks ago advertising an Economics program he was doing on BBC Radio 4
Decided to tune in to the show to see if it was funny. (It was both funny and informative).
He had a bloke on the show called Dominic Frisby and his book was mentioned.
I looked up the book and read it. It was all about BitCoin which I had already heard about but I knew nothing about what the hell a block chain was.
Read loads of articles and watched loads of YouTube clips and started looking at the markets.
Voila! Saw that Steemit looked pretty hot! Here I am.
I can imagine some of you have had way more interesting journeys and I would love to hear them, but my personal thanks goes to Simon Evans and his joke!
