Steemit has probably reached its peak

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

I’m starting to get bored by steemit after a month of membership.

At least half of the posts are uninteresting and not adding value or knowledge to an audience who looks for good discussion and debates.

The posts that gain traction seem to be the same old thing, like the selfie, people’s life or tech and crypto/bitcoin stuff. However, there’s no novelty in these topics, only a rehashing of similar stories. Why not buy a fiction/nonfiction from amazon?

Steemit is mostly for making abit of money by people around the world and yet, we have no idea of how the allocation of dollars to posts are calculated. Even the contests are the same old, and when one idea seems to be working then everyone gravitates to creating contests that are variation of the original. Judging contests by upvotes is the most bias judgement method ever. Why bother? The same authors/whales get the huge chunk anyway.

Not sure what else to look for on steemit. How can steemit get people interested or continue to be interested, besides the $$$.
