Clinical Case: Hospital Antonio Patricio de Alcalá, Sucre - Venezuela
This is a 34-year-old patient with a diagnosis of moderately differentiated squamous cell cancer of the nasal fossae and ethmoid sinuses since 2015, who has received a large number of chemotherapy and radiotherapy to date, and surgical resection of said tumor. To date is awaiting the assessment by the Plastic Surgery service for reconstruction.
In my profession as a doctor, I had a lot of clinical cases, some simpler, some more complex, this one touched my heart and made me think about how fragile we can be. to become human beings ... Sometimes we feel so powerful before the world, we feel the kings of the city, of a company, we live in a constant competition to be the best, but we forget that, like the animals, tissues of cells, tissues, organs and systems, which may be susceptible to diseases, to emotions ...
If we only appreciated more the beautiful fact of being alive, of having health, love, family, a home, the world would be different.
