RE: 🔸 What does the future of Steemit look like?
Is reddit over saturated? I don't think that's possible. Either the network effect will swing this way and give Steemit a boost, or it will not. Time will tell. I've personally invested some bitcoin (and plenty of time), into this platform because I think it has a future.
I think it does as well, and I think getting in early is the best way to really see the benefits in full force. As far as over saturation goes, I was mainly talking about the financial aspect of it, and how easily will it be a year from now to gain a significant amount of Steem Dollars to be worth spending that much time on creating content, if you're a new comer then.
Yeah, the rewards will go down as things spread out and people focus on the categories they are about most, but again, $0.01 is more money than the big social media platforms ever pay.
So true!
First of all, there is no way it will saturate and that should be certain with today's technology.
Now with respect to the future of Steem Dollars (SDs) it can be explained or pronosticated by understanding what value and money is. I think that the sole concept of creating money out of content is a natural thing. Social media platforms like FB are also making money but in an indirect way (profiting from ads). Steemit content makes money more directly, not from ads but from the simple fact that "content = value" and everytime value is created there is a counterpart (analogous to matter and anti-matter ) that represents it, in this case Steem Dollars. So the future of this kind of Social Media Platform shouldn't be so uncertain.
Well said. 11 months ago, it was more uncertain than today, I think. So far, it seems to be working.
