The National Assembly of Venezuela will appoint a committee to elect a new CNE
The parliamentarian Juan Pablo Guanipa indicated that the electoral system must be refined
Juan Pablo Guanipa, deputy to the National Assembly, informed that on Tuesday the National Assembly (AN) will designate a Committee of Electoral Applications to choose a new National Electoral Council (CNE).
The parliamentarian indicated that the CNE should establish mechanisms for elections to be held as soon as possible.
"The Constitution says that it is 30 days, but we all know that it is impossible that in 30 days there may be an election in Venezuela," Guanipa said Monday.
The deputy commented that after the CNE is established, the electoral system should be refined and allow new voters to register without obstacles.
