US Tax Considerations – Cryptocurrency Tax Workshop for Novices (Courtesy of the Rocky Mountain Steemit Accelerator) UPDATE
After attempting to live stream a through a variety of options: Discord (limited capacity of 6 individuals total), DLive (mixed results) and MSP Waves (complexity as well), it appears I will be unable to live-stream this event. My sincere apologies to all interested in attending virtually, but I simply ran out of time and options as the event got closer. I have a new respect for what goes into a live event.
I will, however be recording the event for a future post targeted for release next week. If there is some interest for a live Q & A, please let me know in the comment thread below and touch base with @aggroed as well.
I can also be found on the Rocky Mountain Steemit Discord Channel regularly as well. Please feel free to stop by and touch base with me there as well.
When and Where the Workshop Will Take Place
The Cryptocurrencies Tax Work Shop for Novices will take place on Wednesday, January 24 from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM (MST) at The Parker Library (LOFT Room) . This workshop is free, but the room has a 12 person capacity, so I would ask any who wish to attend in person to please RSVP. Please, Direct Message me on Discord at lpfaust#8848 to reserve your space. It will be first come, first served.
I would encourage everyone to check out the Rocky Mountain Steemit Discord channel when you have a free moment. It’s one of the most active and regular Steemit Meetups, and members have been actively supporting and helping to grow sister organizations in the US.
If you find yourself traveling to the Denver or Colorado Springs region soon and would like to join an upcoming Meetup, we’d love to have you.
Thank you for provided perspective. I'm ambitiously following the same crypto currency taxation related discussion here in Finland.
Won't be able to make it in person, but will most definitely watch the recording. Super valuable information!!
Looking forward to tomorrow. Let me know if you want/need any help with anything at all. I can be there early if I plan with enough time.
Live streaming was difficult for me too. I'd been trying with d.live, but I need to keep working with that.
We can record it while there and share it later. When I spoke to @aggroed the other day, he was very interested in helping with this and offered his support.
@intuitivejakob I appreciate the help yo have provided and the offer for tomorrow as well. Honestly, I'm disappointed about how things came apart with the live stream, but I suppose a recording is the next best thing for the time being.
Catch you at the show tomorrow. I'm thinking I need some indoor pyro.
Yeah, I felt the same way when I was ready to go with a live reading and it just didn't work. At least the video recording kept and I was able to see it on my blog, but we have a long way to improve out of this beta phase.
As for pyro. Hm. I may not be as fancy as you liked, but I did fire a lil sum sum up for you. White sage...
The next step is GoToWebinar. Those folks have it down! It works on my computer, my cheap Verizon tablet, and my $45 Samsung phone.
Sending you positive vibes for the event. Wish I could be there.
no worries you did your best there
Look forward to making it out tonight and meeting everyone!
