Who was Cliff Burton? - Some musical history - another great - another tragic loss
I can remember the first time I herd the Metallica album Kill 'Em All and Cliff Burton's Bass solo in Anesthesia Pulling Teeth. I also remember hearing about the bus accident which killed him in Germany. In this piece by @dwinblood, we learn more about the incredible life history of Cliff Burton and how he went from kid trying to be the best bass player for his brother to one of the greatest Bass players in music.
The Connection Between Creativity and Mental Illness
When I was younger, I took an IQ test as a child and a child psychologist ruled I was "gifted." My personal feelings about IQ tests aside, I remember hearing something to the effect that an inverse correlation exists between IQ and sanity- meaning the higher your IQ score the more likely you are to have some type of insanity. According to the article by @lchazen, it would appear there may be some scientific evidence to support the claim. Check it out.
