STRESSED TO THE MAX? > Meditation For Stress Relief
Ever have those days where you feel like you are being eaten alive by stress?
With so much to get done and remember daily, there are moments where I feel like my head is going to explode. This is never good when you have to remember hours of choreography. Whenever there is a time of great stress, a subsequent deterioration in efficiency follows. From mood swings to constant irritation, stress must be a factor that has to be controlled to maintain a positive lifestyle. Managing stress DAILY is key!
I have found the easiest way to relieve stress is to take a "time out" or pause (could be just a couple minutes) to simply meditate and focus. I reset my mind and my body follows to cleanse out the stressful energy.
Meditation is proven by western medicine to be a benefit specifically to relieve stress. The entire process can be from a few minutes to many hours, it all depends on the catharsis felt by the person doing it.
Steps to achieving this catharsis from meditation start with the simply sitting down on the ground. A common and simple pose is to sit cross-legged. The pose helps to bring comfort, easing the body into a meditative state. Once in the pose with closed eyes, take deep breaths to clear the mind of all thought. Many cannot achieve this enlightened state quickly, but there are other steps to help reach this mindset. Focusing on a single point while taking deep breaths are techniques with widespread use throughout the world. Eventually reaching a meditative state will come naturally!
The accessibility of meditation makes it one of the best ways to reduce stress in any time of need. The simplicity and non-costly nature allow anyone the ability to find benefits in all walks of life.
