Steem is Dead ?
When ever we Think steem go back up again sudden Btc downtrend is started and the situation is going wrost day by day . It is so flustrating when your earned money loss its value . i was holding my own 10k Sp value upto 50,000$ now its 23000$.
This is our own fault when we earn easy money we become greedy and Steemit is full of Greedy peoples who come here to just make profit ,these people always busy in making power and powering down only some whales are supporting this platform alot but unfortunately if Bitcoin price drop more and more ,Steem will crash Hard . So every pray and hold steem as much as you can to support this platform stop selling your coins at cheap rates.
we hope sir to hold steem but the market is really crashed btc is boss it makes the price for alt coins
In my opinion, steemit is not dead, it just hasn't really got started yet. It is still a relatively new platform of which I have seen a lot of changes & great new platforms since I joined a few months ago such as @dlive (live video streaming platform), @dsound (audio platform), @busy.org (alternative UI) which feels more like facebook to me & best of all, @dtube (video platorm) which now supports 720p hd video's.
Steemit will shake up the major social media players as these platforms evolve & new ones are created & then, the value is sure to explode, I think.
Pretty much all of crypto's have gone down sharply (I know mine have) but, I'm holding long term & as regards to steem power for me, I have no intention to ever power down.
I truly believe in this platform & I'm in it for the long term as, I'm sure many other steemians will/do to.
Decentralisation = Power to all off us!
Stick with it & I'm sure you will be glad you did.
Best of luck!

i certainly don't think steemit is dead.......yet. The market is down as a whole. if you look at steems price currently, its still pretty close to where it was a few days ago. If it gets below 10k sats, then ill start worrying.
Extremely frustrating, it's the nature of the beast I guess if were here we should expect it...I think it will pick up again, will probably be quite a while though.
The future of Steem is within our hands. I believe enough that I invest the little I have weekly. I am not a whale today, won't be next month, maybe not next year. But I will be one day. Steem has an advantage over most crypto in that it has practical uses (like Steemit) that most do not have.
As for Bitcoin, I am still a noob when it comes to crypto. But one thing I have felt since I looked more into this is disbelief it is still holding on as the benchmark coin. It is slow, costly to transfer and inefficient compared to so many other coins. There is no way it remains the standard by which other coins are measured. How can an inferior coin be held in higher esteem than a better coin?
Steemit platform should survive bitcoin drops because it brings a lot of value compared to many other coins. I think it will become immune to bitcoin drops in price in the near future.
And here is why we love Steemit.
Can I get some nachos for that dip!
You cant avoid people wanting to make a profit..Its the nature of the game .If there is money involved that's how it goes. And i don't think that's bad necessarily bad.The key is more people coming to the platform and greater bolckchain adoption.my humble opinion.
I can understand people who have invested money into Steem might get nervous when the price drops, but those who earnt all their STEEM on Steemit don't really have anything to lose, so I don't really see why they would panic sell. Also, constantly powering down makes you earn less, so I don't understand why people keep doing that either.
While my amount of STEEM has doubled since January, its dollar value is still more or less the same, so I like to imagine that now it has a higher density, like some rubber ball pressed together, just waiting to bounce back out lol. Keep hodling:)
