New Steemit update claim reward Tax?
Hi folks! Today i am very surprised to see a new type of tax cutting by steemit ?
Questions in my mind making my mad.
IS it a new hard fork update ?
Is it due to price difference between steem and SBD?
Is this tax for using Steem service ?
Why steem is now charging almost 15 percent tax from our claim reward ?
I am worried about the situation what is happening here Steem now deducting so much tax from our reward. As we know when we saw post payout came we can see full reward is showing that there is no detuction expect curation reward .
I am not against curation reward i love to give curation who upvote me this is not the problem it is a new kind of tax .
In past did you guys noticed when a post payout completed for example Steem price is 1.50$ your post value is 10$ so after 2$ curation reward what reward you should get ?
it must be 4 SBD and 4$/1.50 = 2.66 steem power. But today i am going to show something very suspicious reward cutting by steem so i like to tag some witness to help me and answer about the situation.

So according to the screenshot i have been charged about 0.40 SBD and 0.10 SP and this tax is exclusive curation reward ? I did not understood how it will manage the profiability is it a new kind of update from steemit please if anyone know guide me.
It's probably because part of the reward was given to you in Steem, the 0.392 steem. The User interface fails to show you what's truely happening, so it's a bug in the UI. That's my guess anyway.
It's not a tax, you still got all the money, just in a different form.

@angelina66 but i am not understanding steemit gives me 0.75 SBD less then total reward and gives me 0.39 Steem ?

That's because when STEEM goes below $2, the rewards start to split between STEEM/SBD in the 50% of liquid currency. It happens because SBDs have to be regulated in order to avoid inflation/lose of value of the SBD. When STEEM goes above $2, you'll see your 50% rewards only in SBD. It's part of the system, not a flaw.

I am confused where the rest of the payment from our post?

I think it is in the Steem that is being handed out along with SP & SBD.
This is very complex, so we need more explications.The universe steemit have rules, but i don't understand all of this.

@lays steemitinfo extension isn't working properly so i guess the payout figures shown are not correct and given lesser.
I had tried doing the calculation before and from what i figured is they are cutting 25% of the SBD rewards and giving to us in the form of Steem which of course is a loss to us.
Looking forward to know more details from the witnesses here.
@danzy i believe for example they cut 100 sbd reward from claim and gives us only 50 steem back so its a huge loss
@lays see if you were getting 100 SBD in rewards you would now be getting
75 SBD + 16.66 Steem + Steem Power stay as it is
(Your 25 SBD is converted into 16.66 Steem assuming 1.50 is the current Steem rate).
This is what i understand and it's indirectly a loss to us.

Yes, that is true. Somebody has to give a clear answer to the problem (the difference of the reward .)
Don't worry, you just have to wait that STEEM Value goes above $2 to receive you 50% SBD reward again.
