Modern Zombies
I walk through the hallways of the room, the casino room where I work.
I am a waitress in that casino, my salary and that of all the local employees depend on so many sick people visiting us. I can't help but feel sorry for those people.
Some enter and take 2-3 hours a day, others seem to be part of the decoration of the place, I even imagine them as zombies, their gaze fixed on the screen, while they barely move their hand to repeatedly touch a button on the machine, their faces pale, sometimes her mouth half open, it is as if sitting in front of that machine, they move to another world. They can spend up to three days there, sitting in front of the same machine.
I feel sorry, no one is waiting for you at home? Will you have a house? Is there no family ?, even on holidays, such as; Christmas, national dates, are more present.
There they eat, sleep, drink, smoke, etc. (is that cigarette, liquor and food services are free)
I have seen them degrade quickly, one day they come; Well dressed, feeling lucky, they start their bets, a little high, they sit like kings in front of their machines, they request; cigarettes, drinks, courtesies, and then there, they begin to fall into a well that seems to have no bottom, if they win they return the following days to continue winning, and if they lose, they return to "recover what was lost" they no longer return calm and well dressed , they no longer smile as much. Without realizing they are trapped. They will hardly get out of there on their own
