ADD VALUE, HAVE PLANS, BE SUCCESSFUL.

As i opened my laptop to write this morning, my mind had gone so many years back. It was weekend in my junior secondary school. We had finished inspection where the girls will inspect our hostels with their supervisors and vice versa.
Few hours after the inspection, the parent of a boarder boy came to see him. The man is a well known actor. The whole school was hot that day. The stewards were giving him extra ordinary greetings. Some were even prostrating. He will shower them with money and their praises will continue. The students were not left out everyone came out to see this renowned actor. He gave them money and finally was left alone with his son.

I sat on a chair in front of my hostel watching all this from afar and then i began thinking,
In all my days of walking around the compound of my junior high school. No one prostrated for me😭. What did this actor do or is doing that makes him different from myself? and after a while, I understood
The difference is that this human had added value to himself. He had built so much value that everyone wanted a feel of his success. Achieving this doesn't happen over night , it takes time. Being successful requires a long-term plan,.
A great man I know once said "pursue excellence and success will follow you pants down (excerpts from three idiots 😁)".

Add value to yourself, live above sentiments, live above frivolities. Don't get me wrong have fun...go to fun places. I love exciting places myself but my point is you should create a balance. Give more time to building yourself. The universe will take note and thank you. Make your friends and don't let your friends make you. In essence choose who you want in your life. You must not accept everyone into your life.
You are a gem on earth.
You know now.
Different type of persons will come around you. Only keep people that will spur you higher in your close circles. The others that fall around, you can be an example to them. You can help add value to their lives. Let them read what you read. We all gain knowledge to impact on others.
Always remember that it is not your duty to change anyone just live to your full potential.
