3 Days To Project Launch – Imagine

Today is 3 days before project launch and I sent out a post yesterday which you can read up here, it kinder gave more insight into what the project is all about. As we approach launch date I’ll like to use today to give imaginary examples of what the project is meant to do to its members. That is why I have added ‘imagine’ to the title of today.

Let’s look at some examples so that we can have a clear understanding of the project.

Example 2: Let’s say you delegated 500 Steem Power (SP) to the community pool. Remember you can undelegate at any time you want as you are not bound to remain with the community if you don’t want to. Now let’s say the community has a total of 25,000 SP when you joined.

500 SP self upvote is worth $0.01

25,000 SP community upvote is worth $0.09

Now imagine more people joined the community and the SP pool grows to say 50,000 SP. You will enjoy the growth of the community because without you delegating more but still maintaining your 500 SP delegation the value of the upvote you will be receiving is going to go up to $0.18.

50,000 SP community upvote is worth $0.18

Example 2: Let’s Miss B delegated 5000 Steem Power (SP) to the community pool totaling 25,000 SP assuming she joined the same time as you did.

5000 SP self upvote is worth $0.09

25,000 SP community upvote is worth $0.27

50,000 SP community upvote is worth $0.54

Level Based Community

To make everyone get rewards based on their contribution to the community SP pool, I have made the community a level based community so that everyone gets rewarded based on the amount of SP delegated to the community. This is also applicable for curation received by the community. Yes, as mentioned in my post yesterday, a percentage of the curation received in Steem/SBD will be shared among members of the community. So you don’t only get upvoted by the community account, you also earn in various ways just by been a member of the community.

Open Or Closed Community

The community is intended to be an open community where people can join wherever they wish to. But This is Steemit! where Voting Power, Voting Weight and Steem Power play a lot of role in the reward system. I personally prefer my Voting Power to stay within the range of 90% and above and not dropping below 80%. So I’ll be keeping a check on those numbers and if there is a need to stop new membership due to lowering voting power then we might have to do that because sustaining valuable upvotes is important to keep encouraging community members. As I have said previously, members are always free to exit the community whenever they choose to.

In Conclusion

I encourage you to join the project on launch date by delegating based on the membership level you want to belong to so that we all get the best out of it from start. I’ll also love to hear from you if you would like to sponsor the project by delegating SP for free or sending Steem/SBD so that we can lease additional SP to get a boosted upvote from start. You are appreciated.
