I Still Don't Understand Steem Power. Why Do My Upvotes Make No Money?

Hey guys,

I have been on Steemit for a couple months I think and I still don't fully understand Steem Power. With more Steem Power, the more money my upvotes would make right?

When I first started, I would upvote my own posts by default and would make $0.02 on it. Now, when I post something and upvote it, it makes $0.00! What is up with that? I have more Steem Power than I did when I first started but I make less money now. When I upvote someone elses post or comment, I think it makes them $0.01.

Can someone explain this to me?

      first steem went down big time so your 1 sbd you have now might worth more later. also this could be a good strategy to vote other post with your daily voting power around 20 upvote a day will keep you at 80% voting power. and you can check your voting power at steemd.com
