Screensot of @ana-maria 's Comment with phishing links with https://steewit.combase url which is a cloned version of steemit.com.

A few hours ago I saw this post https://steemit.com/money/@james-09aka/theft-on-steemit-steemit-is-not-safe-it-is-not-a-joke from a steemit user @james-09aka, where he wrote about this ongoing robbery and his loss. I checked that profile and realized he was very right and the user has already robbed lots of money through Phishing and hacking within a very short period of time, the account was just created in March(probably yesterday or the day before yesterday.)

Please check this post from @chronocrypto who is also an early victim of this link Bait.

https://steewit.com Hacked Funds, Do not click on @ana-maria Links

Well stupid mistake, I clicked on the link that the now hacked spammer account @ana-maria (Which was really stupid thing to do! I know.
Well I clicked it and since Steemit always asks for password for any new transaction I was playing Dice and bam I was on a completely wrong site

https://steewit.com
Get it STEEM WIT dimwit!

Here's the account which is stealing Steem/SBD from users with Phishing.

https://steemit.com/@good-kama/transfers

And the bastard has already stolen enough SBD/Seem within a very short time period(less than 12 hours.)

But @ana-maria says her account was hijacked by someone else and it wasn't her posting those Phishing links.

On the other hand people are still losing money to @gtg.witnesses

https://steemit.com/@gtg.witnesses/transfers

I noticed a single person @enjoywithtroy has lost exactly 663.843 SBD to @gtg.witnesses and 22.641 STEEM to @good-kama nearly at the same time.Which is clear hints that both of these accounts are owned by the same scammer/or group of scammers and are running different phishing sites to steal other's master key and transfer fund to their account.

The best way to stay on the safe side is, Never click any suspicious links and always double or triple check the URL of the page you are visiting before entering your Private keys.

I think it's really hard to control or terminate such activities on the blockchain and in fact, these will surely raise more in future. So the best way to prevent users from being robbed of such bloody thief is to spread awareness among the community and especially to new users who don't know the devil's side of steemit yet.

Personally, I find steem safer than any other platform from such probable robbery because here we have options to vest of steem as Steem Power, which can not be transferred instantly.

So do not keep more liquid Steem/SBD in your main account than you usually use and Power up all other spare steem. This way if a hacker got to your account your funds are still safer because SP can't be traded or transferred instantly.

Remember prevention is better than cure, and we may not find the cure for this problem. So prevention is the Only Solution in such case.

And please resteem this post so that to spread the awerness among the users.
