ABOUT ME, AN INTRODUCTION TO NEW FOLLOWERS AND A UPDATE FOR MY FRIENDS. NICE TO MEET YOU ALL :)

I think every now and again its good to write an introduction post for your new follower's and if things have changed for your regular followers. Its also a good reminder for yourself how much things have changed since joining.

AN UPDATED INTRODUCTION

Hi I am Karen, I am 54, married for 28 years with 2 daughters aged 26 & 21. I am Disabled, I have Fibromylagia, Osteoarthritis, Chronic Pain Syndrome, Asthma, A knee that won't work, Depression & going through the Menopause. I joined Steemit back in July 2016. I was very reluctant to join back then as didn't understand anything about the site, Bitcoin, Cryptocurrencies etc. It took me quite a while to find my way around the site and what was going on. NOW its my most favourite site ever.

THE FAST 800

The Fast 800 is a diet plan i am following The Fast 800 is updated from The 8 Week Blood Sugar Diet, Author Dr Michael Mosley. Its all about Low Carbohydrates, No sugar, High Protein and fasting 2 days a week. I started this plan last year in August when my starting weight was 18 stone 11lbs, I am now 15 stone 2lbs and still losing.

I like to write about how my days are going, if i have lost weight or if i am having a naughty day. My friends on here help me keep motivated and get me back on track with there messages and support.

I also like to post about what i am cooking, what tastes good and what doesn't. I like to show people that this plan isn't about starving and going without its about re - programming your body to lose the excess weight plus can help with a lot of health problems.

MY PETS

I have 3 dogs, Geordie a Jack Russel, Mika a Patterdale and our most recent pup Luna a Patterdale.

My daughter has 2 rats called Amara & Lilith plus a hamster called Ash. My hubby has 2 fish tanks waiting to buy his 3rd which will be the biggest out of the 3. He keeps Tropical fish, Angel, Coradoras, Fighting Fish, Tetras,, Shark and Catfish. We all love animals and hate anything to do with abuse, the thought of an animal suffering breaks my heart. MY PETS ARE MY FAMILY.

MY FAMILY

I like to write about my family especially when there is something to celebrate, Birthdays, Christmas etc. I sometimes write about my oldest daughters ADHD, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Autism. We have been through some low times with her problems but also had some amazing highs. I like to reassure people who are going through what we did that it does end, it does get better and there will be a time when you look back and think WOW.

MY GARDEN

I started my gardening hobby on Steemit, Steem paid for my very 1 st gardening center shop. With all the support and advice from my friends on here i am now onto my 3rd year of attempting gardening. I started off growing flowers as i love to help the Bee's & Butterflies but now am trying to grow Fruit & Vegetables with the hope one day i can grown enough for my family to enjoy.

And as you can see from my photo's above I like to take pictures, I am a learner. This is another hobby i got interested in through being on Steemit. I take photo's of my garden, pets, town i live in and anything else that attracts my attention.

I am housebound so don't get to see many people, my time on Steemit helps me meet new friends, learn new things and have a laugh. Its my escape from my world as i can travel all over talking to different friends from different countries.
