Photos from the event last night.

Profound thoughts: @steemit-jp community is hardcore hustlin’, account-based voting is fucking awesome, and cinnamon rolls make everything great.

Finally got to meet the dude behind it all. As far as I can tell Ned seems genuinely excited about decentralization and keeping autonomous financial power where it belongs—in the hands of the individual. Was a good talk, and I was honored to be there.

Also got to meet @sot528, from ALIS, face to face for the first time. The two other founding members of the ALIS team were there as well.

Thanks for stopping by. The event was a blast and I feel more enthusiastic than ever about Steemit’s future, and more accurately, the future of humanity in general thanks to decentralization.

Looks like everyone had a great time and are thinking deeply about the plans of the future . One day I hope Ned comes to NYC for a meetup

Is @ned a voluntaryist? I know others involved in the formation of steemit are, but is he too? I'd love to know his life long objectives (such as furthering individual liberty).

I’d really like to know the same, man. What I did take away was that he seemed genuinely interested in keeping individuals financially autonomous.

The good thing is, regardless of anyone’s personal philosophies, blockchains and algorithms don’t really care.

I wanted to ask about potential state interference, etc, but didn’t really have that chance. The enthusiasm was contagious, though, and I almost had the feeling that this stuff is making the old systems irrelevant.

I’m sure the dinosaurs will get violent (they already are) but listening to these ideas, and being a part of this paradigm shift makes the crud-choked engines of statism look very silly.

It was cool to be there and feel the energy in the room.

love to hear this ^^^^^ :D :D :D!! that's what i mean by the feel in the room lol; thanks for sharing!

Looks like it was a great event.

cinnamon rolls make everything great.
