The witch hunt on Plagiarisms

Plagiarisms is indeed a issue on Steemit. But from reading the posts last days, it seems that a real witch hunt is going on.

Random down votes and people getting harassed for rewriting, opinion writing or mentioning stuff that is already on the internet. Even after showing the sources.

I mean, what is wrong with that? The whole internet is full of rewriting blogs and news sites. And even if you think it is not ok. Since when is censorship ok?

I understand some post are complete copy/pastes or people pretending to be someone else. That is plain wrong. But just down voting people for reasons where there are not even rules (are there any?)

Does it make you any better then the copyright trolls ruling the world on non blockchain media? No, and it does not make this platform any better. It is an north korea blog platform in the making. Where the power full can bring down opinions with 1 vote.

Do we want that for this nice piece of tech and freedom?
