low-hanging fruits to improve steemit: Why not a mult-line textarea for "About"?

I always found this not user-friendly. The "About" field is a fixed-width text box, but if I put a long text, I have to manually scroll left/right with cursor to view and check.

Why not a mult-line textarea for "About"? A textarea showing all content would be better than a single line fixed-with textbox.
