Beautifully written and so true. I just hate the impersonal nature of Facebook lately and much prefer spending my time here, reading, supporting and writing. Much more rewarding and it bring me so much happiness.
I found that a lot of the posts I had been seeing on facebook were mostly self-involved and querulous.
Plus when facebook decides to run tests on its' users happiness levels by showing only sad feeds to some groups and positive feeds to others? No thanks, I don't want to be a lab rat!
The integrity and engagement of steemit users, (and let's not forget the ability to help financially support content creators that we appreciate), has been a big eye opener to me in terms of how and why we are using social media.
