This morning, the sun woke me up... For past few days, all there's been were rain, thunder, and the wind, so you can imagine what a pleasant surprise that was. I mean, it's almost June, and the sun's been hiding. My mood was down, and it changed with the weather, pretty much depending on it, so this day couldn't be better than this - I was happy and fulfilled...

What more could I expect from Today?

But, as often as it goes, when the universe and I decide to give our friendship a shot, it often gives me much more to look forward to... I suppose, the saying: "If you think positive, good things happen!", is the best way to describe what happened...

A few days ago, I looked at my follower's number, and it was way too early for me to put my party hat and celebrate the first crossed milestone. I was close, but it needed more time. I guided myself with a thought to let it happen naturally, and a wish to build a community, within the community.

Today, I took another look, and surprise, surprise! I've seen that my follower's number has increased.

I made it! We made it... :)

I guess the time has come...
I know that this is kinda mandatory, and pretty much expected, but I do feel obligated and in need to say this:

"Thank you!"

Since I've joined Steemit, my life has changed a little... To be able to write, is the best thing in the world, but feeling accepted and suppored - it's fricking amazing! :D

In that moment, it got me thinking...
What's the secret ingredient of Steemit? What is the reason of us growing so attached to it?

I've come to the conclusion. It's not all about money, really. No one can say that doesn't motivate, but there is something much more valuable.

It's a whole different concept of social network. Guess, you knew that and there's no "aha" effect to it. But I have an explanation for my statement.

Unlike other, where we connect with the small group - family, friends, accountants, and it's expected from us to give a thumbs up (from time to time, at least), without even involving and comprehending, Steemit is quite the opposite.

Even though the chances of really getting to know a fellow Steemian, in the "real world", are quite slim, the fact that we don't have to be this way or act this way keep crossing my mind. We're oceans away from each other, so what's stopping us from being judgemental, rude and/or unwelcoming?

Since I came here, I met a lot of people, which I would never get a chance to meet. I've developed relationships, heard stories and learned a little about life, as a matter of fact.

Here, we upvote a post, not people.

We love the content.

We support the person because he/she wrote it.

It's all about thoughts, feelings and a story which each of us has to tell.

We are a community, some sort of family here, and we exist only because of a mutual support. We push each other (in a nonviolent way), we motivate and encourage.
We do what we love, getting only good things and kind words in return.

It's refreshing and different. It's pure!
