How is everyone finding steemit?

So I'm seeing lots of people having different experiences with steemit so far so just want to get everyone's thoughts on how they're finding things so far?

If you use it as a starting point for blogging, you're onto a winner (assuming your posts are useful!)
it is a rewarding way to use browsing time--time I would have spent reading sensationalist news items about world politics.
the mood is so much more positive, warm and welcoming. So there's an emotional benefit to spending time here, too.

Yes I've definitely noticed that it has a much friendlier more personal feel than either Facebook or twitter

Is it better to post blogs straight on steemit or post a link for example leading to a blog?

You should make a post with your own opinion about everything with attractive titles and photos be original, nobody will upvote you if you just add a link :D Steem On!
