Psychology Concepts of Photography

in #steemit7 years ago

Hi Steamians!

I was surprise that in our General Psychology Class our professor taught us about photography concepts and I just want to share it with you.

So this our the photos that me and my classmates have taken during this assignment or should I say project.

Texture Gradients

In this photo the distortion in size which closer objects have compared to objects farther away. It also involves groups of objects appearing denser as they move farther away. Also could be explained by noticing a certain amount of detail depending on how close something is, giving a sense of depth perception.

Overlay

In this photo Interposition occurs in instances where one object overlaps the other, which causes us to perceive depth.

Linear Perspective

2018-03-06 03.36.38 1.jpg

This photo Linear perspective is a type of monocular cue in which parallel lines appear to converge at some point in the distance.

Relative Size

2018-03-06 03.36.37 3.jpg

This photo Relative size is a perceptual clue which allows you to determine how close objects are to an object of known size. Sometimes our perceptions are faulty. Humans use relative size to judge the size of the moon. This is why the moon seems bigger and closer when it is near the horizon than when it is high in the sky.

Aerial Perspective

This photo Aerial perspective is the tendency of faraway objects to appear hazy or slightly blurred as a result of the atmosphere.

And that's it, hope I make your reading worth while and you learn something new today, thank you for reading, please leave a comment if you have any suggestion.

Thank you steemians!
