This is SOCIAL MEDIA - Suck it up CUPCAKE! - ROCKYOURWORLD #26

OK people - we are living in the 21st century here - and I am getting a little tired of hearing the below:

• I really don't want to see that
• oh my word you post so often
• wow, that is so offensive
• I am leaving this group because the notifications are soooo annoying
• My news feed is so full of rubbish

If you are going to join social media of ANY description, then please for the love of @#$%^ - learn how to cater your experience to your liking - OR - just REMOVE what displeases you, from your experience entirely!

I will give you a little tip: Google and YouTube are NOT there for no reason!!! They offer an endless array of guidelines and tools... but the thing is - in order for tools to work - you actually have to pick them up!

There are ways to cater for EVERY whim! - if you Google it, you won't need to rant about it :)

Social media is there for people to express things, experiences and themselves and guess what - they have every right to do so! Just as much as you have every right to moan about it... (yes)... but the reality is, when you do... most are thinking (why not just cater your experience...)

I have been exposed to all levels and aspects of this. I use social media for work, pleasure and a whole lot more... yes, I am a junkie.

Now that we have that out of the way - let me say this... the multitude of platforms for which I use social media, has naturally exposed me to plenty of reaction - and therefore... experience.

Tonight for instance... normally, I like to sit and write in the evenings, but tonight I feel brain dead, so I decided to post pictures...LOTS OF PICTURES!!!! (My bio said it was going to happen, o I am safe...mmmkay) This is obviously going to annoy some people, because, well, you know - they don't want to see awesome pictures of my amazing life and the fantastical place that I live... hehe... and that... is OK!

But don't come into my space and moan about it please... move along (that wheel on your mouse, or your finger on your screen... use it!) or just unfollow me! (Energy saving tip right there!!!)

I am absolutely NOT interested in having people follow me that don't care for my mood swings anyway - be they positive or negative... ;) - What people fail to learn (seemingly anyway), is that there is ALWAYS something to be learnt from others - whether it is in their positive state or their negative.

I might post a bit of CRAP... but I mostly post really awesome shizniz! - so hey... their loss ;) hehehe (don't mind me)

You know... like REAL friendships (where actual humans are involved).... we are normally in it for the good and the bad, right?!

Well, social media should be treated the same - in "casual engagement" If you don't like the conversation, leave the room. Simple as that.

Time for a "GROUP HUG"

The overall point being - to engage in a supportive manner with people that actually FEEL like they can RELATE to you and your content (and vice versa) - whether that content has 1000 words or 1 picture!

Have I met this individual? No. - but whatever I am posting, clearly resonates. - Is that not what its all about?

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO tired of people moaning on social media!!!!

Which is one of the things I love about Steemit! If you don't like it - you remove it from your space. Simple. Yes, other platforms have much more complex ways of filtering things, but for the most part, I quite like the Black/white yes/no, aspect of it!

and for the rest of the grey areas... I refer back to my previous statement... Google and Youtube are your friends!
