I think we should be comparing whales to bees that pollinate a flower garden, without the bees going around and pollinating the flowers the garden will not flourish like it should. Pollination is one of the most important aspects in a garden in order for it to thrive.

When I was working on my yard the other day I noticed the bees pollinating all my flowers and I thought to myself this is like what the whales do for Steemit they are pollinating the articles that stand out and making them produce to their potential.

Not every article gets pollinated

Not every article is going to get up voted, just like not every single flower will be pollinated either. Some articles will be like dandelions and never turn into anything good. Some are like the weeds that you have to pull out of your yard, these would be the spammers and people on Steemit too much posting b.s.

It is a bees (whales) job to be able to tell the difference between good content and b.s. content that are like the weeds in a garden. The whales (bees) know how valuable the good content is for the site and know not to up vote b.s. content or else this site will become another Craigslist or some b.s. site cluttered with weeds and garbage that nobody cares to read.

Bees are rewarded for their work

In a flower garden bees are rewarded for their work with flowers that produce a sweet nectar, this nectar gives bees their protein and food they need to survive. This is similar to how on Steemit whales (bees) are rewarded for their work. When an article makes it to the front pages of Steemit whales (bees) are rewarded heavily for their work and receive rewards for curating it to the front pages.

Some flowers don't make it

In a garden not every flower is going to make it and thrive in their surroundings, same goes with Steemit some authors will fail and won't produce. The end result is if you do not produce then you might get board with the concept and not use it anymore. But some that don't have good talent will just try to up vote good content and receive rewards for just voting.

Steemit just the beginning

Steemit is just the beginning of this new flower garden or should we call it a forest? Some creators will turn into seasoned creators and be able to pump out good content on a daily basis, these would be like the perennial flowers that come back year after year and bloom every season. This new concept could make every business similar to this realize that they need to better reward the people who made them a great company. Maybe once this platform takes off into a big user base we will see Facebook and Twitter adopt a similar reward system, time will tell I guess.
