HOW TO LIVE A MEANINGFUL LIFE (SHOCKING)
A man lives a life full of meaning
About Living a Life full of...
Men and women, or collectively the homo sapiens, of any race, gender, religion, beliefs, or sexual orientation have always sought the meaning of life, in one way or the or the other.
Why, you ask? My guess is that homo sapiens are born naked and cluelessly innocent until they are tainted by what we call "adulthood". At this time, the real world shows them all the frailty of all man-made concepts, tangible or intangible. They are forced to see socially accepted evils that are contrary to what they've been told and are taught about.
At the middle of this paradox and idiosyncrasies, is an infant who is sorely not ready for what it saw. The shock is great on the inside no matter how they smile and laugh on the outside. They have learned the art of faking how the world sees them and, in the process, faking their own selves. They lose that which they call unique self and is replaced by a beautiful enchanted prime and brave face to cover up insecurities underlying. Like a well- adorned sephulchre, it is beautiful on the outside, obnoxious and rotten on the inside.
But, hey! Whatever works, right? This is exactly how this wretched plastic society creates a new generation ten times worst than itself. You can't choose. It is just is.
The Paradox of Meaning
There is meaning in even in no-meaning. It is always up to the beholder on how they would organize, categorize, generalize, and exaggerate the informantion or stimuli they receive from day to day plasticity.
A meaning, while can be defined by a Webster's dictionary, or Google, or even Alexa, can sometimes be obscure and subjective, especially when we talk about intangible idea or strata of ideas. Best example: Life.
Life can be boring. You can live a life that is chaotic and undefined but at your deathbed, people will learn wisdom from all your failure and frailties. If this is the life that you picked up, chose to, or haphazardly accepted, then you must have, will, or are currently living a life filled with failures and things to learn from - both good and bad.
You can live a life of sacrifice and love. You can become a missionary and die preaching in China. You can feed the hungry and the oppressed people of Africa. Yes, Mother Teresa much. You can quit everything so you can help. Most of the people will call this a "life filled with meaning". But to the people who are hustling in the corporate world, it's a life, with of your unlimited possibilities, talents, and abilities, wasted.
You can live a life hustling and striving to be your best in the corporate world. You can earn a title, get a high-paying job, be a boss or be the boss. You will create connections - both good and bad. You will always create friends and foes. This is what you call a "successful life". But, to the priest, the mystics, and the people chose to be removed from society and all its unpleasing plasticity, you lived a life running on a treadmill. You may have been moving, a lot. But have you really moved?
Meaning, or the lack of it, sorely depends on our individual evaluation of the speculum. Two moraly different individuals can agree or disagree on the concept. And, they can both right, or both be wrong, at the same time. Even when the whole world says you are wrong, you can still be right. Didn't you know that Galileo was prosecuted for being right about the sun being the center of our solar system? See? You can be right, but you can also be jailed for being right.
Meaning is a fleeing concept, a mirage. You think it is there but it, in reality, is not. While it's presence is albeit intangible, meaning is always present - or always absent, depending how we, the evaluators, evaluate our subject.
