[QUESTION]Will steemit and steem 2.0 be the same platform?

From what I understand, Dan is creating a new version of Steemit on the EOS platform. There are some posts (Like This and this) here and in other social networks that prove this. Will the two platforms join together? I know Dan was part of the team, but i do not think that's enough reason for the rest of the group to allow him to come forward with a contestant here.

No, it is an independent project built on EOS, it will apparently also use the same coin as Bitshares 3.0 (the new exchange Dan is building, which will come after the social app). If you want to participate in both the old and the new Steemit, go for it, if you want just one or the other, go for it.
