Steemit and Bitcoin May Benefit From Donald Trump's Freeze of Financial Regulations in US! (Opinion!)

in #steemit8 years ago (edited)

This is going to be a very  short post on Donald Trump's economic policies and how they may affect  "you" as a Steemit member and Steem holder, regardless of which country you live in.

To those of you who live in the US, it's no secret that one of Donald  Trump's top policy proposals is to put a moratorium, that is to freeze,  or even rollback a certain number of financial regulations. The goals,  according to some of his senior aides, is to provide regulatory relief  for small businesses as he believes  there are too many regulations and  that those regulations have been killing small entrepreneurs and  business owners in the US.

And  one example of how excessive regulations have undermined a whole industry, is the infamous BitLicense. Boy,  that was a stupid law, do you agree?  I hope you do but if not,  I invite you to take a look at the newspaper headline below:

"BitLicense's Damage: Eobot Ceases Operations! The highly restrictive and controversial BitLicense has claimed another victim. Eobot!"

And there are many more alarming news headlines like this one!

So, bottom line is this: if Donald Trump follows through with his plan. If he eliminates excessive regulations and includes the cryptocurrency sector  in those reforms, that could be a Godsend for all cryptocurrency entrepreneurs, investors and users, including Steemit. In practice, that would make it easier for crypto entrepreneurs in the US  to start a cryptocurrency company and for the average person to start using cryptocurrencies, which is not the case right now - as a result of those ultra restrictive regulations.
