Will STEEMIT take advantage? YouTube LOSES monetization.
Hey Good morning Steemit Family!
Something major has just happened in the YouTube community that could possibly launch Steemit sky high.
Last night YouTube informed it's online community that the rules set for monetization were going to change, and man did they.
YouTube's initial monetization rule was that once your channel hit 10,000 lifetime view's ads would begin to play, and that is what allowed creators to get paid.
The new rules that have been set are going to impact many smaller channels. YouTube’s new rules stated that creators must now accrue 4,000 hours of watch time over the course of 12 months and reach 1,000 subscribers to join YouTube’s Partner Program and qualify for monetization.
I don't know about you but that sounds a little bit harder to hit and many creators are already back lashing at YouTubes decison.
So what does this mean for Steemit?
It means that there will be many more people looking for a new platform! Steemit has a great thing going with D Tube.
The fact that Steemit creators are given power by the community is a huge game changer not to mention the use of block chain, its only a matter of time before steemit fully takes off.
So if you haven't hopped on D Tube I suggest that you at least become aware of it, because it's mess ups like these from major company's, that are going to give the little guy like us the major shot.
NOW is the time to share and spread this amazing site, lets be the movement.

Great post man. I never new that change that youtube did. To get 4000 hours and 1000 subs puts pressure and stress on people and doesnt feel that free which could bring down motivation in people but is great for dtube. Thanks for sharing man. I resteemed
