HOW TO GET DESKTOP NOTIFICATIONS ON STEEMIT
I don't know about you but I would like to get notifications on Steemit when someone Upvotes, Downvotes or comments. So that I can react accordingly.
Here is how you get them
1/ you need to be using Google Chrome
2/ Download and add the Steemification extension
3/ Select the type of notifications that you want to receive
And that is about it. Now you can see who is paying your content some attention

thats pretty cool i will check that out... can you implement Steemit into IFTTT?
I am not sure but I am looking at adding more features to this extension. Are there specific things you are wanting?
i have just added it... take a look at IFTTT would also be interested if you could add a steemit feed or functionality into a wordpress plugin

i cant seem to get the extension to show on my page for some reason

@infobunny Sure, It already exists and I already use it. However, the only notification I get are mentions, replies, and comments. upvotes and downvotes are not available on desktop notifications yet.

I am glad I found this article maybe someone can help me. I already had push notifications on. It notified me that someone mentioned me in a comment and it dismissed but now I can't find who or what it said...
push notifications will only show for a short time, designed to appear when your there and looking ... check replies to see if anyone commented
i did.. nothing is showing up.. it had said @scrooge had mentioned me in a comment. I installed the extension but it doesn't seem to be doing anything.. google push is still popping up tho.

So helpful! I've been trying to figure out where notifications are when realised there are not any. Hopefully they will enable it someday. :) Untill then this works nice!
