Week 01 - Weekly Steemit Video Hangout
Hello fellow Steemians!
I'm starting a weekly Steemit video chat with rotating guests.
Format and time may change depending on how they go and feedback received.
Here's the proposal for week one on Wednesday, July 27th @ 2 PM Pacific / 5 PM Eastern:
- Host / Guest chat via webcam
- Guests chosen by comments
- Start your comment with "Guest" if you want to be on video
- Mention what you would like to talk about
- Top three guests will be selected by amount of votes received
- Recording will be made available for those not attending live
What may also be covered:
- Popular posts of the week
- Tools & News of the week
- Who's powering up/down (if relevant)
- Anything else the community deems worthy in the comments
Where it will be hosted...I'm open for ideas. I have access to a webinar system based on WebRTC technology (meaning it's compatible with new web browsers but not Safari). If it doesn't work well I'm open to feedback.
For those interested in helping choose the platform, here's a quick survey. I currently have access to Webinar Ninja but am willing to invest in Crowdcast as it looks promising. Blab.im could also work well for this format. I'd suggest testing one out as a viewer before voting on it.
Depending on how things go, there could be an opportunity for a co-host as well.
Looking forward to steemy discussions!
Keep Calm and Steem On,

Why not just broadcast a Google Hangout? It's free and immediately goes to Youtube. Just curious.
Figured that would be a write-in vote. I don't love the delay in chat if we start answering questions but if that's the best platform for this we can certainly do it.
Keep up the good work!
