My Solution To Steem Dollar Problem

in #steemit8 years ago (edited)

Since I feel steem dollars don't hold good value for my store and latest moves don't mean anything when I see the overall history, I feel I have a good solution for responsible steemit users like myself and others who save their steem dollars over selling them.

  • If a steemit user hasn't sold any steem dollars for some time, like a month, take a percentage of the witnesses' profits and give them to the steem user in the form of steem dollars. Many steemit users, including some witnesses, have said that some of these witnesses are looking for a quick buck and "steemit's success be damned!" I don't feel the founders of this site have considered some of this by allowing them to continue, but in the least, the founders could instigate a tax on these users and reward people like me and others (YOU) who help contribute to this site. The more holders of steem dollars, the more the peg remains stable. Also, I know some of us will need money sometimes, so we don't wanna prevent people from selling their steem dollars cuz they made need them. Based on reading a lot of great content on this site, I feel the witnesses are getting too much and not giving anything back. This is why systems have taxation!!!
  • I feel steem dollars should pay a higher interest to encourage people to use their interest for "fun stuff" instead of their steem dollars. Like with my store, I could show customers that they could buy an outfit with money they earned in interest without selling their steem dollars at all!!! They feel its free money, but it's really part of our steemit ecosystem.

Just how I feel. I am getting some info on using tether; I like its peg a lot more and it really is stable. Even more stable than bitcoin!
