if steemit's able to achieve even a few of those functions effectively, it'd already be demonstrating incredible value...what about some way for investors to get involved, but on a more limited basis? i know they want to avoid speculation fueled volatility, but that might be turning off potential investors too. thanks for your analysis!
Speculation is the killer app lol. Anyway, many tech companies do crazy valuations all the time. Not to say that the same should be applied here, but here at least there's issuance of tokens and transparent data for any speculators / investors to look into.
