Whelp...Looks Like I Got Scammed...by @optimisticguy
Well it was my bad. Not doing my due diligence. Should have checked out this account more thoroughly.
Here is a screen shot of the message I got in my wallet.
Yep. If its too good to be true it probably is. ESPECIALLY IN CRYPTO!!!
Now I have used other resteem accounts like @carlobelgado and @joanaltres with great results. @minnowsupport & @randowhale are awesome as well. No problems with any of them. And they help build your following. Nice.
Dunno what @optimisticguy was trying to do. The message seems legit. But the results are not. I sent 2 SBD yesterday. That post is still under $2.
I did get upvoted by that account. But only a few cents....

It says so right in the message.
Anyway people be smarter than me. Use www.steemd.com and properly vet these accounts and services BEFORE you send them $$ like I did.
Somebody has downvoted @optimisticguy account so the rep is now negative. (It wasn't yesterday)
Also the account has only been open 8 days. That should have been another HUGE red flag for me.

I read a post yesterday about scammers and this name was mentioned along with other trying to impersonate whales and offer super large upvotes for large fees
Good piece - this is the sort of information that makes Steemit so powerful.
It seems here is a whole network of acccounts offering the same but you send to optimiisticguy and the 'team' votes over the week until reward time. Sounds believable? Could they all be operated by this 'optimisticguy'? It's amazing how fast Steemit responds to this sort of ****. I'm sure someone will figure out the chain of custody of those accounts. Annoyingly my wallet fills up more every hour with those useless 0.001SBD gifts(?) wanting us to .... Really, 1000th of 1cent will make me want to look at your ad? Make it 0.020 at least please, is 2 cents too much to give when advertising posts?
But the optimisticguy account is only 8 days old? Dunno how its supposed to work. You would think it would be outlined somewhere how and who. But a scammer does what a scammer does.
This guy just spends all his energy on soliciting "clients" but it seems thats about it. If its legit I will retract my post.

It's not legit. He's just the latest scammer around. He's already been nuked to a negative rep.
Yep. Sadly theres nothing to keep him from sending the steem he scammed out and then back into another account.

So far all I have seen him do is spam other people (clients) and threaten people who are taking his "business".
Including threatening me with a flag war for this post.
But they still have not delivered on what they said they will do nor returned my SBD.
Only those with big (huge?) STEEM POWER can really have any great effect when flagging. Wow, I just thought ...hope the scammer hasn't got a lot of SP.

Live and learn. Sending funds to random assholes that promise the moon doesn't lead anywhere. At least its only 2 SBD.
thx for the information. I just took a look at the article and it looks like @carlobelgado seems to be not so profiable, too. What other experience did you make with his service? Is it worth 2 SDB?
I don't think it is so much profitable in terms of payout. But more in terms of exposure and potential followers. I don't use it on every post but only ones I think will do well.

Another reason not to spend money on upvotes. If you have to, use credible bots.
