How to become a Steemian with many friends and followers!
Hi Steemians
As a newbie you need to have many friends and followers. This will give you a huge advantage and help you on your journey. It is very hard for Steemians to find your posts because you may not have a big following and they remain invisible. But you wont have followers by asking everyone to follow you. This is the wrong way and everyone will look at you as a SPAMMER. They will flag you and you will loose your reputation. Steemit is very different from Facebook or Instagram. People here are looking for high quality content and thats the only way to attract them.

Today I want to talk about friendship and its importance on steemit. Even if many users think that they can make it alone and come out of the pond to jump into the ocean. I tell you that is not possible. You cant succeed by upvoting your own posts and comments. You need to make genuine active friends who follow you and reward you. It doesnt matter if you have 500 followers or 15000 followers. All what matters are genuine friends, because with a lot of friends, you can have wide access to anything. They will help you, support you and make you successful.
You need to connect with others and write genuine comments. Join Discord and chat rooms! Meet new people on Steemit and learn to reward them too. Only Steemians and good content give this platform so much value. And only your friends can make you successful!
Thank you for reading and I appreciate your support :)
Hi @hanen, Im on steemit now for a little over 2 months and working out how to get some sort of exposure through getting more followers by trying to create connections or friendships. I often see other stemians with way more followers than me even if the started around the same time as I did. Can be demotivating a bit :) Still I keep on going and posting. I think in the long run I’ll get there with writing good stuff and showing real interest in other peoples work.
What chatrooms did you mean? Are those on discord? At the moment I’m not really doing the chat thing, but would like to start with that!
Finally I must say that I love the steemit platofrm the more I use it! I can say it is slowely even gettingn addictive :)
Thanks for sharing you knowledge!
hi @michelmake
I just checked your profile and it seem that you create loads of interesting content. Not so much related to my interests (crypto, blockchian etc) but I still think we could help each other on steemit.
If you will reply to this message (that would allow me to believe that we may develop mutual engagement and help each other) then I will follow you and upvote some of your future posts.
What you say?
Cheers,
Hi @crypro.piotr, thanks I feel honored :) Ive started folowing you. Now lets see where this goes :)
I would love to stay in touch with you a little bit closer as I value your knowledge and your input. And we could support each other on Steemit.
Plus you're very responsive which is absolutely great.
Perhaps you could send me short email to [email protected]
Yours,
Piotr
@michelmake Dont worry about the number of followers. I have nearly 2500 followers, but the most of them left Steemit or not active :)
What I meant with chat rooms are the Discord channels and https://steemit.chat/
And these are old posts of mine where I introduced some Discord channels:

https://steemit.com/steemit/@hanen/how-to-help-newbies-1-get-one-free-upvote-everyday
You are absolutely right. I became also addicted to it :)
I just read your post "Power up and build your wealth!"
And I was wondering - do you still believe in steemit after you have lost so many followers?
Ah thanks, that was usefull! I joined the minnowsupport discord and wow, i recieved an avalange of votes during my first attempt :) There are so many chats that it is somewhat overwhelming. Ill put some time in it figuring it out though. Will pay off in the long run I guess. Thanks for the info! I love Steemit! :p
I totally agree with everything you said in this post.
Making honest connections and friends is very important.
It's easy to say "follow me" and put that comment on every post you come across but that won't get you anywhere.
True connections might take a lot more time and effort but it is so rewarding and an amazing feeling when you achieve that.
Love these series, I think that a lot of newbies can learn a lot from them.
Absolutely! Thank you Dear! Yes we have new users joining everyday and we need to guide them :)
So true!
Quality content is as important as making friendship in order to succeed in steemit. I entirely agree with you.
Absolutely.
Hi @hanen, I agree with you. :)
Thank you :)
@hanen I absolutely agree with you.
Without good and caring friends on steemit no one can get success. We have to support each other. Together we can achieve more and nore. We are the power of other friends .
Thanks
Indeed!
Thanks for your appreciation.
Hi @hanen how are you? Welcome on Steemit my friend and really cool intro - i like it ! I would like to connect with other cool and friendly steemians. I’m posting music tutorials and other things related to music (and bitcoins:p). I’m the founder of the free music school communicasound. I'm really pleased to meet you. So i give you my vote, follow you and i will be happy to read your next posts in the futur. If you want, you can do the same and follow me. It’s important to have a family in Steemit :) Greetings from Paris. Peace.
Hi
Thank you for #introducingyoursef.
I noticed that we both share similar passion towards cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology :)
Im myself quite new in steemit community but I realized that there are few things you could do to have a better start:
Mostly I invested a little bit in STEEM in order to purchase STEEM POWER and STEEM DOLLARS. Why? It's simply important. Without initial investment it will be very hard for you to build reach here and be noticed.
Im not sure if you ever heard about this site: http://steemd.com/@your_username

Perhaps you know it already :)
If you will reply to this message (that would allow me to believe that we may develop mutual engagement and help each other) then I will follow you and upvote some of your future posts.
Cheers and good luck, Piotr
I agree that friends are so important to your Steemit journey. Forming connections will help your blog grow with comments and resteems. I am in several Discord groups and have already begun to form connections that I think will make my Steemit journey easier to navigate! And, I've also started my own community, STEEMmamas, to find more likeminded people here!
Ah thats great! Yes discord and steemit.chat are very helpful and there are many different channels to meet people and promote your post. I am glad that you are doing well :)
One more thing just crossed my mind a moment ago.
Im assuming that you're new here and i would like you to understand that steemit is quite full of spam. Luckily steemit community related to blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies seem to be quite mature.
You will realize that there is many people out there who are trying to help newcomers or simple promote themselfs by sharing their knowledge and experience. I strongly support what they do and I myself decided to spent few minutes a day looking for new members of this society that are having similar interests.
My goal is to help those new members who can really contribute into this community by sharing my experience and by upvoting and commenting future posts.
After all this is still quite new platform and it's up to us to shape our little community.
One more time, welcome on steemit and I wish you all the best!
Cheers,
Piotr
I'm new to steemit...I want to learn how to make new friends...I'm following you now
